Drift Hockey is built for hockey clubs, teams, coaches, parents, and players. These Community Guidelines describe what we expect from everyone using the platform. They apply alongside our Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.
Be respectful
- Treat coaches, parents, players, and officials with respect.
- No personal attacks, slurs, harassment, or hateful speech.
- Disagree with ideas, not people.
Protect minors
- Never share, request, or solicit sexual content involving minors. This includes AI-generated, drawn, or modified depictions. Such content is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement. You may also report directly at report.cybertip.org.
- Adults must communicate with minors through parent-visible channels appropriate to their role.
- One-to-one direct messages between an adult and an unrelated minor must remain visible to the minor's parent or legal guardian via the Parent Dashboard. Do not attempt to move conversations to private off-platform channels.
- Do not attempt to contact minors privately outside their team's official channels.
- Drift Hockey does not perform background checks on coaches or other adults; clubs are responsible for vetting their own staff and volunteers.
Hate symbols & extremism
Posting or sharing content that promotes terrorism, organized hate, or violent extremism — or symbols, slogans, and iconography associated with them — is prohibited. This applies regardless of whether the content is "ironic" or claimed to be satire.
Photo & video of minors
- Only share photos and video of minors within the team or club they belong to.
- Do not film or post identifiable images of other clubs' minors without their guardians' permission.
- If a parent objects to a specific item, raise the request with the team admin first.
No threats, violence, or self-harm content
Threats of violence, content glorifying violence, and content promoting self-harm or suicide are prohibited. If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or local emergency services.
No doxxing or impersonation
- Don't share another person's private information (address, phone number, photos) without consent.
- Don't impersonate other coaches, parents, players, officials, or organizations.
- Don't create accounts to evade a block, suspension, or ban.
No spam, scams, or unauthorized commercial use
- Don't send unsolicited promotions to teams or clubs you aren't authorized to message.
- No phishing, malware, or attempts to defraud others.
- No automated scraping, bulk export, or reverse engineering of the Service.
Off-platform conduct
Conduct that occurs outside Drift Hockey can affect your standing inside it. Credible reports of off-platform harassment, abuse, threats, or sexual misconduct involving Drift Hockey users — especially minors — may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.
Respect intellectual property
Only post content you own or have permission to share. Copyright owners can submit a takedown request via our DMCA process.
Third-party broadcast & game footage
Drift Hockey is built for clubs to share their own practice and game video. Do not upload:
- Televised or commercial broadcasts (NHL, AHL, ECHL, NCAA, junior leagues, USA Hockey, Hockey Canada).
- League- or association-produced game video you do not have written rights to redistribute.
- Clips downloaded from paid coaching platforms (e.g., Hudl, InStat, ESPN+, NHL Network) without a license.
- Copyrighted music tracks added to highlight reels.
Use raw footage you (or your club, with permission) recorded, footage your league has cleared for redistribution, or video you otherwise have written rights to share. Copyright holders may request takedown via our DMCA process; repeat infringers are permanently terminated.
How we enforce
Reports are triaged within 24 hours. Depending on severity, our safety team may take any of the following actions, escalating with repeat or severe behavior:
- Dismiss the report (no action).
- Warn the user.
- Remove the offending content.
- Suspend the account temporarily.
- Permanently terminate the account.
Severe violations (CSAM, credible threats, self-harm crises) are handled immediately and may be reported to law enforcement, NCMEC, and other authorities as required by law.
Reporting & blocking
Long-press any message to report or block. You can manage blocked users any time from Settings → Blocked Users. To contact our safety team directly, email safety@drifthockey.com.
Repeat or severe violators are permanently ejected from the Service. We use device- and account-level signals to deter ban-evasion and reserve the right to refuse re-registration.
