We built it because we needed it.
Drift came straight out of our own coaching experience. Like everybody, we were managing our teams across three or four different apps. One for communication and scheduling, another for practice planning, another for video, and our stats in a spreadsheet. None of it was connected, so information had to be copied from one app to another.
We looked for something better and didn't find it, so we started developing a solution for ourselves with no idea where it would go. As we kept at it, we realized we had something other people in the hockey world could benefit from. That's how Drift Teams was born.
The further we got and the more coaches we talked to, the more gaps we saw. That led to building Drift Sessions for people running camps, clinics, and lessons.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: make life easier for the people teaching the game, so they can focus on what they do best.
What we believe
Growth over glory.
At the end of the day, getting better beats getting the glory. Only one team wins it all, but every player can grow.
Better coaches. Better players.
Coaches want to be better at this. The admin is what gets in the way. Take it off their plate and they get the hours back to actually coach.
It's about the players.
Every reason we build comes back to the same place. None of this is for us. It's for the players, and for what the game gives them.
