Our Commitment
Drift Hockey LLC has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, and any sexualized content involving minors. We are committed to keeping Drift Hockey a safe environment for the youth athletes, parents, and coaches in our community.
Published Standards Against CSAE
The following are strictly prohibited on Drift Hockey:
- Any content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a minor (CSAM).
- Grooming behavior — including building trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation, sending sexual content to a minor, or soliciting sexual content, contact, or meetings from a minor.
- Sextortion or any threat or coercion involving sexual content of a minor.
- Attempts to move conversations with minors off-platform for the purpose of circumventing our safety systems.
- Sharing personal contact information of a minor without parental consent.
Consequences: Accounts engaged in CSAE are immediately suspended and permanently banned. We preserve relevant data for law enforcement and report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where required by law.
Read our full Community Guidelines.
How We Detect & Prevent CSAE
- Automated message moderation. Every message is scanned by a two-tier system: a keyword filter (with normalization that defeats common evasion tactics like leetspeak, fullwidth characters, and zero-width insertions) plus an ML classifier with a heightened sensitivity threshold for sexual content involving minors.
- Verified parental consent for minors. Children under 13 cannot create their own accounts. A parent or legal guardian creates and controls a managed child account, and provides verifiable parental consent before any data is collected. See our Children's Privacy Policy.
- Adult ↔ minor messaging restrictions. Adults cannot direct-message minors unless they share an active coaching, parental, or club-administration relationship in the same team or club. All other adult-to-minor DM attempts are blocked at the server, and conversations involving minors remain subject to the parent-visibility rules above.
- Parent visibility. Parents managing a child account can review their child's messages from the Parent Dashboard, and the child is clearly notified of this visibility.
- User reporting and blocking. Any user can report a message or block another user from inside the app at any time.
- Structural prevention. Drift Hockey does not offer public profiles, public discovery of minors, or location sharing between unrelated users. Membership is scoped to verified clubs and teams.
- Account-level enforcement. Confirmed CSAE violations result in immediate account suspension and permanent ban, with the user signed out across all sessions. Repeated lower-severity violations escalate to the same outcome.
- 24-hour moderation SLA. All reports are logged in our moderator queue with a 24-hour acknowledgement SLA. CSAE-flagged reports are escalated for same-day review, and high-severity automated alerts are actioned faster.
Moderation, Training & Governance
- Our Trust & Safety team is trained on CSAE indicators, including grooming patterns and CSAM identification, and on our internal escalation playbook.
- These standards are reviewed at least annually and updated as policies, applicable laws, or threat patterns evolve.
- We comply with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy, Apple's App Store Review Guidelines on user-generated content, and similar child-safety requirements in the markets where Drift Hockey is available.

Compliance With Applicable Laws
Drift Hockey LLC reports apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A). We cooperate with valid law enforcement requests and preserve relevant data in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
Where required by local law, we cooperate with national CSAE reporting bodies — including the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) for content reachable in the United Kingdom — and honor takedown obligations under the European Union's Digital Services Act. We retain account and content data necessary to support law-enforcement investigations.
Our handling of personal information from children under 13 is governed by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC's COPPA Rule. See our Children's Privacy Policy for details.
